Tyler Kotewa Cancer Battle

Tyler Kotewa is 24 years old and is the son of Chantal Heetland and Tracy Kotewa.  He has been diagnosed with Oral Cancer and has already undergone surgery to remove the cancer from a portion of his tongue along with the removal of 44 lymph nodes from his neck.  Some of those lymphs proved to be cancerous as well.  Ty has started his first week of a 6 week radiation treatment, in addition to 11 weeks of chemo at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Tyler continues to strive to achieve his masters but has been unable to work since before the diagnosis.  He was employed as a teacher at Southwest High School in Minneapolis and with this type of cancer is unable to work in the profession he has been so passionate about.  He is hoping to return back to the classroom in September if all goes well. 

Any and all donations will be used for medical expenses, travel expenses to and from Rochester along with Tyler's daily living expenses as he has been recently denied for assistance.

Tyler is also an active member of the band Evasive Maneuver.  He is an educator, an entertainer and a friend to all!  Please help out any way you can!
