The Balanta B’urassa History and Genealogy Society in America (BBHAGSIA) launched the Decade of Return Initiative in Guinea Bissau in January of 2020. Since then it has been involved in fundraising and delivering various micro-technical projects in education, sports, food security and agriculture. Currently, our focus has been developing “Right to Return” policy for the Decade of Return Initiative. This includes diplomatic efforts in Guinea Bissau, Cameroon, Zimbabwe and Geneva, Switzerland.

Our current priorities are:

1) raising $1,860 to complete the Dafana Institute's language laboratory project that will provide the first such state-of-the-art English learning labratory to the country - https://www.balanta.org/news/introducing-alante-daniel-nabicamba
