Fran can't catch a break.

When we rescued Fran from a puppy mill we had no clue this poor little girl would be dealing with so much. The only thing the Amish man told us was that he had a Puggle to give to us and that he was giving her to us because she had destroyed her last litter of puppies. That's common in puppy mill dogs. When they are too stressed or they know that they cannot provide for their babies they destroy them . What we didn't know was that Fran was older  and very malnourished and basically just exhausted. We took her to our vets and by the next day we knew that Fran was heartworm positive. We were asked to take her home and put some weight on her. Try as we might we could not get her to gain even a half a pound . The whole time we had her we noticed that she drank an excessive amount of water and she urinated more than any dog we had ever seen. This concerned us but we brushed it off assuming that it was a side affect of the heartworm disease. The other thing we noticed about this little girl is that she had a desire to love and be loved. Fran has never met a stranger. I'm trying to make this short and sweet so I'll get to the point a couple weeks ago we discovered that Fran had serious diabetes. She is currently on insulin and eating a special diet. Now comes the part of the story that we need to share so that we can hopefully get some help financially.
Our Vets took Fran to an ophthalmologist at Metropolitan Hospital last week. The ophthalmologist put Fran on three different eye medicines and recommended immediate surgery to remove cataracts from her eyes.
Fran has lost her sight and at this point and because of her age we're not sure that she will regain her site but because she has a buildup of fluid behind the cornea and several other things going on with her eyes it is recommended that she get the cataracts removed. Currently Fran is very uncomfortable and spends most of her day squinting. There are other things going on with Frans eyes that cause her to have a thick discharge. All of this will be cleared up after the surgery. I know we're always asking people for money but we only ask when we really need it and this time we definitely need it with her heartworm treatment costing somewhere around $1500 her primary care treatment at around $500 and now the new surgery at $4800 we desperately need help. Please help us help Fran.
This poor little girl has not had a break since we got her and we want to give her a chance at happiness. We want to fill the rest of her life with easy days and warm nights.
Sunshine and lollipops. Fran deserves this. All dogs deserve this.
