On May 4th, Kevin Lewis was riding his motorcycle on the 101 when a driver pulled out in front of him. Despite Kevin’s efforts, there was not enough time for him to avoid the intoxicated driver. Kevin’s motorcycle impacted the other vehicle, throwing him from his motorcycle. Sadly, Kevin passed away on scene.

Kevin was a father who loved his children, his wife, his grandchildren, the outdoors and his country. He served three tours overseas in Afghanistan, and worked as a public servant after leaving the military. Everything Kevin did, was in the service of others. Anyone who knew him, has a story of Kevin giving all he could to help others. Now, his family are the ones who need help.

As a veteran, Kevin’s funeral expenses will be covered. However, his family is left with numerous out of pocket expenses not covered by the VA, as well as a sudden loss of income. Kevin leaves behind three children who depended on him, aside from his adult children who are now learning to cope with the loss of a parent.
