Alicia is facing unimaginable loss — the passing of both her loving mother, Connie, and her 13-year-old son, Jeremiah.

If you ever met Ms. Connie, you know she didn’t just greet you — she wrapped you in a hug that made you feel seen, called you sweetie in that way only she could, and probably tried to give you a piece of jewelry she bought from one of her TV shopping channels. Giving was her love language. She gave with her hands, her words, and her heart.

Connie was a proud Veteran who retired as an E8 and continued her life of service at the Social Support Center on Fort Bragg, where she cared for soldiers every single day. She faithfully gave to St. Jude’s, helped the homeless, and poured love into everyone she met. Her grandkids were her world — she never missed a game or school event, and her famous banana pudding was a taste of home for everyone who sat at her table.

Jeremiah was her sunshine — full of curiosity, creativity, and kindness. He loved playing Xbox, exploring the woods, building things, and learning about the world around him. He taught himself to play the harmonica and piano, loved to sing, and dreamed of studying neuroscience one day. He was funny, smart, and full of love — a good little brother who will be forever missed.

Alicia and her family are trying to stay strong while navigating the heartbreak of losing two people who meant everything to them. We’re asking for your support to help cover the funeral and memorial costs so Connie and Jeremiah can be honored with love, dignity, and peace. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and mean the world to this grieving family.
