Friends and Family, our beloved Calleja's need help.

On Tuesday September 15, Janet Calleja, devoted mom to Jeric and wife of Raymond, suffered a devastating stroke.  It is still very early days and she remains in ICU on a ventilator and under medical sedation.

She has a long and difficult road ahead of her.   

If you have come into contact with Janet in any way, you know her to be a loving, devoted, passionate, warm person. Her family and friends are everything to her...leading the chants at her son Jeric's many basketball games, donating hours and hours of service to our school communities at St. Brendan Catholic School and Loyola High School, being the best of caring friends for all those in need around her.

She is always the first with a smile and a warm embrace. You always come away from spending time in her company feeling better about yourself and the world around you, your problems seem more manageable and you are able to cope.  

 
You have all asked the question - "Why do bad things happen to good people?"

This is where we find ourselves. Janet will never ask for help, always giving, never taking. 

Please close your eyes.  

Remember the last time you saw Janet and spent some time with her. Remember how you felt. Remember your feelings of contentment, of well being and of love.

Now is the time to repay that. We need all of you to donate some money. Whatever you can, it all helps. There are going to be many, many needs. Medical, household expenses, mortgage, food and things we cannot even imagine at this time.
