My mom, stepdad, grandparents, aunt and cousins ran for their lives on Thursday November 9, 2018 when the Camp Fire raged out of control in Paradise, California. It was a terrifying journey and they are all still in shock. They all lost their homes and possessions except for a few clothes and toiletries. My aunt also lost her two cats. They made it to my cousin's house in Chico where they are holding up until they can attempt to look for an apartment where they can all live near each other. My grandparents are medically fragile so they need to stick together. Since they lived in mobile home parks, they didn't have a lot of resources. They need to not only find a place to live, but furnish a house with all the basics needed to live a life. My mom and step dad live on social security and the small income they make from helping home bound seniors. Please donate if you can, in whatever amount feels right. Every dollar helps. I am shooting for the moon for them because they are my family. My mom and stepdad Alan have spent their lives serving others in non-profits and volunteer work. I can only hope to help them with the same open heart.
