Support Kim’s Healing Journey from Breast Cancer
Lisa Morgan and Lea Clay are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Kim Lavender.
On July 29th 2019 my sister, Kim, got the dreaded diagnosis of Breast Cancer. Since then she has
undergone many costly tests to find out the extent of her cancer which determined she needed to
have a Bilateral Mastectomy.
On December 12, 2019, with much angst and
concern over having surgery, she decided to go forward with it. Unfortunately, she had some
complications after surgery in which she had to
spend 5 days in the hospital instead of only one.
She has a long road ahead of her, as the doctors have said it’s an aggressive cancer (stage 3A) and
they are highly recommending heavy
chemotherapy and radiation. Because of that she
can no longer work and may not be able to resume working. She has also had to give up her love of
watching her grandchild. She has always been a
hard worker, dedicated wife, mother, and
grandmother. So this is extremely hard for her to
do.
Her husband Bob is 100% disabled vet and unable to work. So they have a very limited income. So We set up this fund to help her and her husband with medical bills that have incurred as well as many
more to come. And, also to take the stress off of
her as she fights to get well so she can be the
amazing Daughter, Sister, Wife and Mimi she has
always been.
She has done so much for me and her entire family and would never ask for anything. So I’m asking for help.
She means so much to all of our family and friends.
Any support and prayers are Greatly appreciated.
