In loving memory of April Mayo

Hello, My name is Ashley. My sweet friend April has just received some devastating news that she has cancer. April is a cancer survivor of 4 years now. While she has been living cancer free for the past few years, unfortunately 3 months ago she went to the ER with a life threatening blood clot in her leg and was kept for a few days but was told it was non-cancer related at that time and sent home on blood thinners and instructed to follow up. She has since then been recovering from the blood clot but it’s been hard as it’s been very painful. On Wednesday August, 30th April went to the ER again in a lot of pain. This is when she received the news that she has cancer. She has since then been in the hospital as she has been in severe pain. The stage and exact location etc is still being determined as it does take time to run

tests and a biopsy is going to be taken. During this time, April’s husband has been by her side daily to support her and due to that has had to take time off work. April also has been unable to work at this time and will need to take some time off work to undergo many tests, dr appts etc. At this time the future treatment is unknown, but we do know that she will definitely need to be at home to rest & fight this battle!! April has 3 beautiful children whom she loves with all of her heart and is a very active and dedicated/loving mom. If you know her, you know that she spends all of her free time participating in their sports, education, going on family vacations, etc. They are her entire world! April is the most selfless, caring & beautiful spirit and would do anything for anyone. She’s a GOD fearing Christian woman & has full faith that she will fight this cancer once again!! We are asking during this time that if you can find it in your heart to please donate to help April & her family during this extremely difficult time so they don’t face any financial hardships along with what they are already facing as they are doing their best as a family to be there for April. No family should have to worry or stress over financial birdeons. Along with this will come medical expenses as well. Anything helps! Even sharing her story. Update:

April is still in the hospital.. She has had 2 procedures on her leg as she has blood clots due to the tumors.. Unfortunately, the stents they placed were unsuccessful and she had to have bypass surgery on her leg yesterday. She has been in so much pain. Her husband has been by her side everyday & has had to be off work. Her family has a long journey ahead of them and any donations help!
