Fight for Colson

On February 28th, 2020 at 16 years old, Colson was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. On Monday March 16th he goes in for surgery to install the chemo port with the chemo treatment starting March 17th.
A cancer diagnosis is hard. And although this form of cancer has an excellent survival rate and Colson's prognosis looks good, he and his family is in for the hardest fight of their lives. This is an extremely stressful time for all of them and friends alike. But now they also face the added financial stress of not being able to work so they can take Colson to treatment and care for him. They face added costs for medications, gas, parking etc.
I know we are all stressed out with the corona virus but lets take a moment and ease that stress for the Thorson family. Whatever you can spare will help, whether it is monetary or otherwise.

Update 03/17/2020
An update with everyone today, Colson started his first round of Chemo today and got an update on some medication costs. Colson needs $300/month in medication, along with one that he needs to take after each round of chemo that is $2000 each treatment. As of right now, Colson is scheduled to undergo 5 rounds of chemo, resulting in medication costs upwards of $15,000.
Colson's family does have insurance, however they do not direct bill and have to pay for the cost upfront, then be reimbursed later. As well, Alisha, Colson's mother has had to take a leave of absence from her job due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing them to a single income household.
Due to these unforeseen circumstances and additional costs the goal has been raised to $15,000. Please share on social media to bring awareness and help Colson and his family continue to be able to fight.
