We were really hesitant to do this, but Manny truly means the world to us.
Two weeks ago, we received news that our most cherished baby, Manny, has multiple Mast Cell Tumors that are located throughout his body.
Manny's plan first started with an ultra sounds, X-ray, blood testing, and individual cell tests for each lump that he has on his body which cost a total of $1,500.
Then, Manny had his surgery to remove the Mast Cell Tumors on March 13, 2019. Manny was admitted for two days at the Animal Hospital before coming home. The surgeon removed 12 masses off of his little body. All together, the surgery had cost $5,500.
Our next step is to follow up with an Oncologist to see how aggressive the cancer is. The surgeon was unable to remove some of the tumor from his elbow because it spread to both his bicep and tricep. The biopsy was sent to the pathologist and we will then find out whether we need to just monitor him and make sure he remains cancer free, amputate his whole front leg, or if the cancer is too aggressive they will just to treat him with chemotherapy and radiation for the time he has left with us.
This news is devastating to our family, but we are continuing to leave this situation up to God. Manny is in good hands.
Those of you who know us, are aware that Manny means absolutely everything to us. He is the greatest and most special part of our life and we have so many plans for him in the near future. Although, we will do everything in our power to make sure Manny lives a long, healthy life, paying for the surgery as well as treatments afterword will surely be trying for our family while paying for a wedding and already purchasing a home which will be finished this summer.
Manny is preparing to be the Best Man in his Mom and Dad's wedding this summer and he has so many exciting moments that he needs to be healthy and happy for and we are hopeful this surgery will give him many more healthy years.
Manny is our biggest blessing and has been our backbone and strength- now it is time for us to be his.
We are so blessed and grateful for everyone who is able to donate to help with Manny's medical costs. Any donation amount is appreciated, and please only donate if you are able to.
Thank you and God Bless!
Love,
Manny, Kaitlin & Jon Selby
