Together We Can Help Stop Suicide

Greetings. I am La Shaun and I want to share my story with you.

In the shadows of despair, I discovered that pain transcends color and that suicide doesn’t discriminate. The weight of existence pressed upon me, and I grappled with the same darkness that haunts us all. What I once thought was a myth shattered my heart, revealing a raw reality—my son Raushaun Campbell died by suicide. The struggle, the agony, and the world felt like a relentless storm for me.

After the colossal loss of Lil Man (my son), I needed to understand THE why,

which led me to gain educational training about suicide & mental health awareness. Suicide is undoubtedly a pivotal matter for me. It's torture for a mother to prepare funeral services and bury the child she carried & nurtured. My life has forever changed. A piece of my heart and soul lives in heaven. Suicide has a ripple effect: the trauma, shock, grief, pain, and suffering that come when a loved one dies due to suicide is inevitable.

Suicide exists; however, it's a death that can be prevented. Each year, millions of people around the world encounter the silent struggles of mental health issues and contemplate the unthinkable. As an advocate for mental health awareness & suicide prevention and a mother who has endured the heart-wrenching pain of losing a son due to suicide, I am reaching out with a humble request to join us in our mission to help save lives.

Shaun's World Hope Walks Here is devoted to providing essential support & resources to those suffering from mental health challenges & preventing the tragic loss of lives due to suicide. However, we cannot do this alone. We urgently need your support to help make a significant impact & develop a community where mental health is prioritized and individual(s) feel supported in their darkest moments.
