Helping Cindy Beat Cancer!

Life has handed our dear friend, Cindy Snider, a curve ball.  Recently she was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer.  Her doctors are very optimistic and the plan is to treat her cancer aggressively since she is young and otherwise healthy.  The last 3 weeks have been a whirlwind of doctor's appointments and tests.  This has all been overwhelming, but Cindy is ready to fight this! Tomorrow she will have a port surgically placed and she will start her Chemo treatments next week.  The plan is Chemo for 3-4 months and then making decisions as far as surgery depending on how the tumors respond to the Chemo.  This will all eventually be followed up with Radiation Treatments.

I'm sharing all of this with her friends and family in the hopes that we can all band together to help support her through this journey.  It's going to be a long road to recovery!  The most important thing is for her to be able to concentrate on kicking Cancer's ass!  As I shared above, this will be done in stages and some things will be unknown until she gets there.  Immediately, she will need financial help for days she won't be able to work over the next few months.  Unfortunately, being a bar tender doesn't provide paid vacation or paid sick days that she could otherwise use.
