Hi, my name is Carrie. I’m Haley’s grandmother, but I’ve had custody of my granddaughter for 16 years. She struggles with mental health issues. We are currently fighting for her stability and life. She has been self harming to be able to cope and is presently in a behavior facility. I’ve taken FMLA so we can get her the care she needs. It’s important for me to be there for her 100%. She can’t be left alone and I need to keep her busy so she doesn’t self isolate or harm. Unfortunately, FMLA doesn’t cover my income. We need help with our bills while we are seeking treatment. And by treatment I mean there will be a number of therapies and groups for her to attend. It’s just her and I. Right now she is at an inpatient behavioral facility. We are working on getting her meds regulated and keeping her busy with therapies, group activities, etc., My hope is by the end of next week she will be able to come home and then we start IOP (intensive outpatient therapy), a behavioral coach, group activities.  Any donations will go to cover rent, utilities, activities and therapies for the next few months. I will be updating her progress as we go.
