Hi this is Sterling and Emily Marks. Sterling contracted Covid in late September 2023 and never fully recovered. What started as extreme fatigue and nausea, turned into full body tremors that sometimes affect his speech and moblility. Sterling is able to do limited activities, but is easily worn out after 10-15 minutes of physical or mental activity. We have been working with his primary care physician, Covid care specialist, neurologist, Chinese medicine practitioner, MNRI practitioner, occupational therapist, and speech therapist to get treatment. Sterling hasn’t worked since late September. We initially tried to get unemployment, thinking it would be short term patch, was is not eligible due to his health restrictions. We later applied for disability and got denied because Sterling's case was deemed not severe enough. We put our house in forbearance to help get temporary relief. We are looking to use funds raised to pay medical expenses and daily bills since Emily’s paycheck doesn’t cover everything.
