Mission Trip to China

Dear Friends & Family,
As you may already know, I have been presented with an opportunity to go on a mission trip to China March 18-28, 2016 with World Missions Alliance. I believe God has called me to fulfill his commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15.
China is currently holding the record of the largest Christian revival in the history of Christianity. It is still a communist country and Christians are still persecuted for their faith in some parts of it... But the hearts of the people are very open to the Gospel message and WMA has had the “open door” and the official permission from the local government there for the last 16 years. This means my ministry will be safe and efficient.
We will be working with a church which was started 10 years ago in the pastor's living room with only his family and now has more than 6,000 people in attendance each Sunday. This church has a vision of sending missionaries to Iran and other parts of the Middle East where it is difficult for Americans to go. So not only will I be spreading to Gospel in China, but also helping raise missionaries for the world.
Our group will encourage and equip the church to continue with their vision, to spread the Love of Christ around the world. The newspaper Asia Times printed, "Islam might defeat the western Europeans, simply by replacing their diminishing numbers with immigrants, but it will crumble beneath the challenge from the East." (Asia times 7 Aug 2007, Christianity finds a fulcrum in Asia). To encourage the Church in China is the most strategic thing we can do to positively affect world evangelism in these days.

I am writing to ask for your help in 2 areas. First and foremost I ask you to pray for the success of this trip. It’s not automatic just because we show up. We’ve already begun planning, getting passports, entrance visa, etc. So your prayers are extremely important.
Next, I am asking for your financial support if you can do it. Some part of me cringes to ask for money like this, but on the other hand, I truly believe the Lord is directing this mission and your money will not be wasted. We need $1600 for expenses there (Hotel, food, transportation, interpreters, ect.) and my travel costs are approx. $1600 (airfare & entrance visa), per person. We also have a need for Bibles for distribution. We can purchase them in China for $5/Bible.
