Support Matt's Battle Against Brain Cancer

This beautiful family could use your help. Matt has a cancerous brain tumor (oligodendroglioma) that he has had to manage for 17 long years. He recently finished a 12-month course of chemotherapy in June (his second 12-month chemo treatment as well as radiation for 6 weeks) and is about to go on another course of treatment with a newly FDA approved drug known as Voranigo. He will take this every day for 18 months starting in mid- December. He has also been on a steady regime of anti-seizure medication - Lamictal, Ativan, Keppra, Clobazam – since his first seizure 17 years ago. Needless to say this all keeps him from working. He has been on temporary disability from California, which ended in August. Matt has applied for SSI & SSDI through the federal system but does not hear if he is eligible for 3 more months. Krista has been working for Rec and Park but due to budget cuts her job got cut in half. She has been searching for other opportunities for work and is coming up short. As both the primary & secondary breadwinners of this sweet family of 4 have not had a full-time income since January, their medical and monthly bills have overwhelmed them.
