I’m taking on a sponsored marathon on ice to raise money for Highland Hospice, an incredible charity that means a great deal to me and my family.

My mum spent her last day at Highland Hospice, and the care, compassion, and dignity they gave her — and us — is something I will never forget. The support they provide to patients and families during the hardest moments is truly extraordinary, and this is my way of giving something back.

The challenge itself will be tough. I’ll be completing a marathon distance on ice by skating a figure of eight for 305 laps, averaging just 30 seconds per lap to complete the full distance. I have three hours to finish. It will push me physically and mentally, but every lap will be skated with purpose and gratitude for the work this hospice does every single day.
