We are fundraising for Susie because we want to help her. She recently called us together for a reunion of our 5 North staff and some of us learned at that dinner that Susie has a year or so to live. She is battling terminal metastatic ovarian cancer.  She’s also starting new palliative chemo treatments and nervous how they will make her feel, but hoping the treatments will give her a little more time. She recently learned she will have to continue medical coverage via Cobra, which is expensive. One of her last requests is to go to the beach this summer with her family, possibly Destin. This fundraiser is to help her with medical expenses and to help fund a beach trip with her family. If you feel led to contribute, please donate. I was blessed to work with both Susie and her mom. She’s one of the many Nurses I’ve met in my career that I consider a friend and I hate seeing her go through this. Thank you for considering helping her!
