Hi, my name is Joann and I’m fundraising for my good friend Stephanie Isenhour. I met Stephanie 6 1/2 years ago when we both started at DSS in Catawba County. When I first met her I thought she was shy and quiet….then we became friends and now I know better!

Stephanie is one of the most sincere people I’ve ever met. She shows great strength, grace and love with her family and friends alike, but most of all she has a strong faith in God.

In July of 2022, Stephanie’s world (once again) was turned upside down. Over the course of a week she was told that she had 2 tumors, then 6 and then a final count of 7 ranging in size from a pin head to a peanut. On July 25, 2022 Stephanie had brain surgery to remove the largest tumor. Surgery went well and the tumor was sent out to be biopsied.

Today, August 1, 2022, the pathology report came back that it’s a melanoma. The plan is radiation for the remaining tumors. Dr.’s are trying to schedule a PET scan to find the source and a referral is being sent to Duke or possibly be entered into a clinical trial in Houston, TX.

Stephanie also lost her mother, step-father and brother this past year in a short span of time. During all of this, Stephanie’s faith has never wavered. She has been so strong for so many people. Stephanie has not asked me to do this. I wanted to do this to let her know and to show her how loved she is by so many and that she can rest. Stephanie needs to rest and not stress about upcoming medical bills, prescriptions, travel expenses, etc.

If you aren’t able to donate that’s fine too! The only thing Stephanie has asked of her friends is continue to lift her and her family in our prayers and that’s all I ask!
