HELP FOR LEO

Hi, my name is Felicia, and I'm creating this fundraiser to help our best boy Leo.

Leo is a nine-year-old big, lovable, goofy baby. He was a happy and healthy boy until a few days ago when he suddenly didn't seem like himself. He became lethargic and wouldn't eat even his favorite foods. Shortly after we noticed he was urinating blood and we rushed him to the ER. There he had lots of tests and found that he likely has a disease called Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia, which is causing his body to attack his red blood cells.

So far, he has received one blood transfusion and is on his second, as well as starting a medication that SHOULD help but we will not know if it's doing what it should for at least a week. In order to give the medication time to help, he may need multiple blood infusions (which are not cheap). We are trying to give our baby the best chance to fight this and be strong enough for the medicine to work.

Leo's vet bills are already over $3,000 and will likely continue to accrue as he gets these necessary treatments. We have maxed out our care credit accounts which makes this process so much more difficult.

Any help is SO appreciated. This dog means the world to my family and me, he is truly my best friend, and I am not ready to be in a world without him; your help means the world to us.
