Hi everyone,

We’re creating this on behalf of our sweet Aunt Debbie, her daughter Brittany, her husband Mike and their big FU to cancer.

As many of you know, Debbie was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in March, with the cancer having already spread to multiple other parts of her body. What followed by April was a heartbreaking whirlwind of complications, hospital stays, and rehabilitation— for 85 days. 85 days of fighting hard. 85 days of showing cancer who’s boss.

In those 85 days she has fought through more challenges than any one person should ever have to face, even relearning to walk again after doctors doubted she’d ever be strong enough to. What we all learned was: you don’t doubt Deb. She pushed, worked towards and met so many more rehab goals than we ever thought was possible, and through it all, she never lost her sense of humor (or her love for Diet Coke).

Now, shes conquered one of the biggest goals of all: she’s home. Being back in her own space is a huge milestone and honestly one they weren’t sure they’d reach. Although such a positive step, the reality is the road ahead is still hard, treatments continue, and so does the need for at home care, medical equipment, and support as they navigate this next chapter together.

Brittany and Mike have taken on full-time caregiving with incredible strength and love, showing up every day with everything they have. We’re reaching out to ask for help easing the weight of what they’re carrying physically, emotionally, and financially.
