Julia's Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Daisy. My mother Julia Vega had an unexpected catastrophic hemorrhagic stroke on October 3rd, 2022. Her prognosis was bleak but we know that her being a woman of faith she would have wanted us to keep pushing. She fought for 5 months. Regardless of her neurological condition, her body was healthy and her heartbeat was strong. It was a surprise to all when we received the call that she had passed away suddenly on Wednesday night March 15, 2023.
These past 5 months have been difficult for my family not only emotionally but financially as well. My dad, Julia’s life partner, has worked a labor-heavy job for his whole life and has always been the sole provider for our household. With the mental distress and him just getting older, paying for a funeral service and end-of-life costs isn’t something that will be easily feasible for him or our small family.
My hope is through this campaign, my family and I are able to focus on grieving and healing instead of our financial troubles. As well as give my mother the proper goodbye that she deserves. Anything helps and is appreciated.
All the donations that are received will go directly into covering her funeral service costs and as well additional end-of-life costs.
My mother was a dazzling woman with a strong moral compass and love for everyone and anyone. Everything she ever did was out of love. She immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico in hopes to improve her family’s quality of living and worked hard her whole life to ensure that was the case. My mom was admirable and how she spent her time on Earth was even more so.
We have yet to arrange a funeral service but will be updating as time progresses, thank you again for the help given.
Love and blessings,
Daisy
