I have had numerous friends and family ask how they can help my daughter and her baby. Kayla's story in her words is below. Kora had to have emergency surgery today so it is taking her daddy away from work. I am setting this up to help offset medical expenses and any costs they may have. One less burden until they can bring baby Kora home.
Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Baby Kora has been moved to UMC NICU for surgery. She has some free air in her tummy. They think she has a hole in her intestine or stomach. They only way to tell was to cut her open. They will be able to tell the necessary treatment once surgery is completed. She's still fighting and is still our little warrior.
She's out of surgery. She had to get a stoma put in. She had a blockage which causes the perforation. They had to take a piece of her lower small intestine. She will get the stoma put back in in about 6-8 weeks. She will be on antibiotics because there's a chance of her being septic.
Kayla's words Day 1:
I will start with getting everyone filled in on the past week of my pregnancy. I was experience some protein in my urine and my Ob wanted me to get it checked out. I was born with a Pelvic Kidney so they thought it was something that could be related to that. I had an appointment with a specialist to talk over this issue. The appointment was Wednesday the 18th at 2pm. They took my vitals as they do at every appointment and noticed my blood pressure was extremely high. They wanted to take some blood and check the labs. It was from there that they made the decision to admit me to monitor my high blood pressure. I was put on bed rest as well as some other tests. After 24 hours my blood pressure was not getting any better and I was determined to be severely preeclampsic. I was told that I was going to have a c-section!!! I was terrified. I was in shock. I am only 30 weeks. She's too early I thought. Well, before I knew it, it was time. I was brought into the operating room and I was being prepped. At 11:28pm, Kora was brought into this room. She weighs a 2 pounds and 3 oz. She is extremely long but I am not sure of the exact measurement. She was taken out of the room immediately to begin the process. She was breathing so strongly on her own and is doing perfect! Anthony was able to go into the NICU with her and touch her. I am doing okay. My pain is being maintained and my blood pressure is still high. We have a long journey ahead of us. I will try to keep up with this the most I can. I'm hoping to be released from the hospital Monday. Kora will be here for awhile to make sure she is totally healthy. I am so overwhelmed with the love and support that we have. It is 3 am and I can't sleep due to medications and hormones. I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense! Please ask any questions and keep our little girl in your prayers! ❤️
Thank you all for your prayers and support.
