Fighting Cancer with Grace

My name is Gaetane Breault and I am the aunt of a precious two-year-old little girl named Grace Breault. After months of medical consultation, Grace was transferred to the IWK Hospital in Nova Scotia and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Her parents, Ghislain Breault and Erika Kenny will be staying by her side for a minimum of 6 months while she receives her chemotherapy and other treatments. The treatments can last up to nine months.

Grace's long-term hospitalization out of the province will pose many challenges for herself and her family. Grace's two older brothers cannot live with their sister or mother and will need to travel to N.S. to see them. Due to Grace’s poor health over the last several months, her mother hasn’t been able to work and her father also had to take time off of work, as the family had to isolate to protect Grace.

As most of us know, between the commuting costs and the expenses incurred while living away from home, all of these costs quickly add up to a substantial sum. The last thing we want Grace’s family to have to worry about is finances during this difficult time.
