Hello everyone,
Im writing on behalf of our friend Dusty Hale, the nicest guy I know. Last week Dusty was experiencing horrible pain in his left kidney. We got Dusty to the private hospiatl in Liberia asap and he was diagnosed with a huge kidney stone that blocked his unirary track and had to be removed asap. At this time they aslo did a Catscan and found three other stones in his left kidney that they said were just calcium deposits. Dusty had the surgery and we thought was on the mend. The next morning i found Dusty on the floor of our apt in dying pain now coming from the right kidney. So they were wrong about this being just calcium deposits. The stones were 4mm, 5mm and 7mm in size all jagged. We rushed him to Dr. Andrea and then ambulanced him the Biblica hospital in San Jose. As it turns out Dusty got a very bad infection where the bladder meets the kidney from the first procedure that was done in Liberia. Unfortuatly, in liberia they had to break the stone up the old fashion way and not through an ultra sound machine, hence causing the infection. Once at Biblica we got Dusty the best urologist in Costa rica. After further diagnosis and test we found out that the other three stones had actually passed and this is what was causing such bad pain, especially having to pass them of that size and through an already infected urinary track. So now we think Dusty is through the worse of it and we find out that he has to have his gulblatter removed tonight. Those of you who are close to Dusty may have realized he hasnt been himself the last year or so, well the good thing is he now knows why. His gulblatter is completley not working and must come out asap. Dusty is scheduled for surgery tonight. Any donations no matter how small will help greatly. The cost will no doubt exceed the 20k we are trying to raise. All of you who are reading this know Dusty and and his daughter Casey so any help would be greatly appreciated no matter how small.
