My dad Luis Guillermo Gouzy was an excellent father and an amazing grandfather, he was in a critical condition in ICU since August 18th, after many times in and out, unfortunately today August 26th in this last battle his body was very weak and tired, and God decided take it away from me to make company to my mom in the heaven.

He has been with life support for the last 4 years due an accident on Dec 25 -2020, but even being on ventilator for many years he always had a smile in his face and was alert and conscious until July of this year, but his condition has made him very prone to infections over infections and his body was very weak and multi-resistant to the majority of the antibiotics, the last heart attack was on June 26th of this year being in ICU for 27 days but he always was a fighter and his love for his granddaughter and for me, made he could support everything and recovery, he was given discharge on July 23th but unfortunately this past Monday his condition got another complication and he back to ICU again.

His final wish was for his body to be taken back to Colombia for a proper burial next to my mom. The costs of the repatriation in a full body plus conservation of his body for around 3 months until documentation is complete for both governments plus funeral services in Colombia are really expensive. I have also fallen under financial hardship as I am having to take time off work to be there for my father.
