My beautiful, healthy, carefree mama had an establishing care appointment with her PCP on October 13th with a concerning chest xray, follow up CT scan and subsequent PET scan are indicative of stage 4 lung cancer with metastases to the bone and lymph nodes as of October 29. She had a biopsy November 7 and we are waiting on results from that for an official cancer cell type diagnosis. Prognosis is poor and at this point treatment is palliative. She is in a tremendous amount of pain daily and does not tolerate activity. We are making a go fund me to help with any medical bills/medications/etc in the meantime as well as unfortunately getting a jump on saving for cremation because none of us were prepared for this.
