Moose has touched many hearts over the years, so I am calling out to the community of people who have been lucky to be friends with her. As some of you may know, Moose had her pinky toe amputated on her rear right paw in 2022 to remove an invasive mass. Fast forward to 2025, another mass has grown on the next toe and it has now reached a size that is larger than her actual paw.
She is uncomfortable and at 6.5 years old, is behaving like an elderly dog. The mass is hurting her. Removing this toe is not an option if we want her to be able to walk, so I was referred to a specialist in Calgary to get this done... and the cost is astronomical.
Lately, I have been talking to her softly, telling her I'll take care of it and I want to fulfill my promise to her. I just got an estimate for the surgery and the total came out twice as high as I would have hoped for. I would appreciate any help whether it is in the form of donation of sharing this so more people can help.
I have also inquired to the clinic about the possibility of making direct donations to an account for Moose's surgery. I will update when I know more.
Thank you in advance to the bottom of my heart.
