Ashley's Emergency Medical Fund
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I know many of you haven't heard very much(if any at all) about my sister Ashley Falardeauxs medical emergencies that have been developing over the last few months. I will go into as much detail as possible while trying to maintain as much respect of her privacy and feelings as possible, as this will be her story to tell when she has the strength to tell it. Ashley has been diagnosed with Wilson's Disease, a rare genetic disease that effects your body's ability to properly filter toxins from your blood such as copper and ammonia. As of a few weeks ago, she is in stage 4 liver failure, and will need an entirely new liver within the next year.
She is currently being treated around the clock by a team of doctors in the best hospitals in Dallas. She is the youngest diagnosed case to date of someone having non-alcoholic liver failure, and because of that she is moved up as high on the National Donor list as she can go, and has the best doctors and researchers studying her condition and providing constant care. The toxins in her blood, mainly ammonia right now, are building up to dangerous levels almost constantly because of her liver failure caused by the Wilson's Disease. This makes it hard for her to speak, type, move, or anything. To say she is fighting for her life as hard as she can right now is not an exaggeration of any kind, and I wish more than anything that it was. This fundraiser will be to help with the medical bills of course, and to go towards my mother and aunt who are taking care of Ashley 24/7 through all of this. Ashley needs many specific life-saving medications right now, as well as a special diet, and any financial help that anybody would like to provide is very much appreciated.
I know I'm being very brief, there have been so many developments happening so quickly over the past few months with her condition and this entire situation, that even the family that is directly involved can barely wrap our heads around what's going on. It's beyond unfair and we are all scared to say the least. Any donations, sharing the post, kind words or even thoughts and prayers would help so much. Ashley herself barely has the energy to text, so please be understanding if you send her any messages that she physically cannot respond very well right now and you might not get a response from her for a while.
I will do my best to answer any questions that people have, as I tried to keep this post as brief, respectful, and to-the-point as possible. The liver transplant and Wilson's disease are the biggest and most life-threatening issues right now, but this will only be the tip of the iceberg as there are multiple conditions she is/has been fighting on top of everything else(Such as her difficulty to stop bleeding).
So please donate if you can. If you can't donate, then even sharing the post, or any support of any kind is so much appreciated. This is the time she needs everyone who cares about her to fight for her and keep her in your thoughts as much as possible, she is such an amazing, smart, and strong person who has had a positive impact on so many lives, we all love her and want to see her get through this and be okay again.
Thank you for reading (The 2k goal isn't something specific we need to reach, I just put an amount big enough to where this fund can grow as much as it needs too, anything and everything is appreciated)
