Support for Mom's Breast Cancer Battle
Donation protected
I've never done anything like this before, and I hoped I'd never have to. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She began her chemo treatments in March and has a couple of months of treatment to go before her surgery. Due to the treatments, she is now unable to work. Anyone who has dealt with health issues and medical bills knows that they pile up quickly, and disability isn't enough to cover everything. At her last treatment, my mom asked the nurse if she was unable to pay, if they would stop her treatments. They, of course, told her no and assured her they would work with her, but hearing my mom ask such a terrible question broke my heart and all I wanted to do was help. Unfortunately, I don't have thousands of dollars to help my mother, and I know you don't either, but maybe as a community, we may be able to help. I know times are tough for everyone right now, and I don't expect much. Even the smallest amount means a lot.
Let me give you an idea of who you would be helping:
She is the most annoying person in the world. She is crafty and can make pretty much anything. She has the sense of humor of a 12-year-old boy. She is a hard worker. She hoards fabric. She is compassionate. She is ALWAYS making noise. She’s optimistic. She laughs WAY too hard at her own jokes. She is overly generous. Her mood swings are unhinged. She tries to see the best in everyone. Her favorite food is brussels sprouts. She still gives us gifts from Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. She likes Phish and the Grateful Dead (gross). She loves animals more than people and can’t help but rescuing every single one she encounters.
To say I love my mom is obvious, but everyone who meets her loves her too and she would do anything to help anyone.
My heart goes out to anyone who has a loved one with cancer.
If you choose to donate, please know, you are appreciated. ❤️
