Kai’s family.

A few weeks ago Kai became seriously ill while in Florida, and eventually ended up on a ventilator fighting for his life. His mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, and their extended family members were with him for several weeks while he fought to live. Sadly, today we learned that he has passed.

Meg and I both taught Kai while I was working as a teacher at Dickinson Elementary. He was a sweet, kind kid, with a big smile and quiet temperament. We can’t begin to fathom the devastation of his loss to his family and friends. Meg and I hope to be able to ease the financial struggles that come with these devastating situations.
