Zambia Medical Mission Trip

Hello friends and family!
In February, I am joining the volunteer organisation Maranatha, and heading out to Kabwe, Zambia. I have been asked to be the medical team leader and organise some clinic days and health education programs.
The overall project will have two sides to it - the construction and medical.
The construction will be on Kabwe Adventist Primary School. The school currently has 473 students from Pre-K to Secondary, 350 of those students are in the primary school. They currently meet in a very small, crowded facility in the heart of the city. At the schools request, we will help facilitate a larger building in a new location.
The medical component is a recent addition due to the increasing interest in the community's health and well being. A clinic will be set up near the school and will target the local community, adults and children. We will also be offering health education sessions on hand hygiene, parasite prevention, diabetes, drinking water etc. We believe education is crucial to the prevention of future diseases and we will do everything to empower them to make healthier choices.
So..... I need your help with finances!
This page is ONLY to raise funds for medical supplies and needed medication. We need to take everything with us as we will be just arriving to volunteer in an empty building.
If you are able to donate $5 or $1000, that will go a long way for the community of Kabwe!
On the team are 3 doctors and 4 nurses. After we set up the clinic, we will tend to those who require assistance. We have no idea what we will face, but we know we need equipment to do this.
If you are unable to help financially, please pray for the safety of our team and that we can help the Kabwe community in a positive way. And send me messages of support because I need to know my home is supporting me!
