Help Shawn Fight Cancer

It is with the utmost humility we wish to share our dearest thoughts with you regarding our beloved Shawn Wing. Shawn is one of the most outgoing, kind, and generous people you will ever meet. Anyone who has had the wonderful opportunity to befriend Shawn knows how deep Shawn’s passion runs for always helping others, how selfless he is, and how genuinely he treasures family and friends.

In this age of division, nothing is more important to Shawn than bringing people together and sharing the love of Christ with everyone he encounters. Whether taking the time to encourage the cashier at the store who is dealing with life’s struggles, serving as an Ambassador for the McKinney Chamber of Commerce or being a volunteer firefighter for several years with the Farmersville Fire Department, throughout his life Shawn has always willingly sacrificed his time, energy, and resources to support others in his community.

While being a beacon of hope for others, Shawn has also withstood his own challenges and trials. A few months ago, Shawn was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. It is in this season of life that he has found himself in the company of many other great warriors that are fighting for their lives. It is our prayer that those who are able would be willing to come alongside us to help Shawn during his time of need.

We humbly ask that you join us in prayer, and if able/willing to join us with raising money to help with the costs/expenses. Your encouragement and support mean the world to Shawn and his family as they continue to face the many challenges that come with the battle of fighting Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer.
