Tragically, Avon Fire and Rescue Service has lost several of their own to cancer over the years, leaving a lasting impact on the team and the community. One of the most dearly missed was Firefighter Ollie Hatfield.

Ollie was a well-respected firefighter, known for his professionalism, dedication, and, above all, his kindness. He was a true friend to everyone who worked alongside him.

Outside of his service, Ollie was a loving father, husband, and son.

In memory of Ollie Hatfield and all those whose lives have been touched by this devastating disease, firefighters from Avon Fire and Rescue will come together for a 10K run in full fire kit and breathing apparatus.

This event not only honors Ollie, but also stands in support of all the individuals and families affected by cancer.

We are asking for your generous donations, which will go to support Cancer Research UK.

The event will be held on Sunday, 11th May 2025, at 9:30am. The run will start at Anchor Road, Bristol.
