Funding for IVF

Hi, my name is Rachel, I am 29, and since I was just a little girl my biggest dream in life was that one day I would be a mom, and I’m here today asking for help to alleviate the costs of my IVF expenses so that maybe I get to have that dream come true. Two years ago my husband Johnny, and I started to go to a fertility clinic. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS and started our journey. These past two years have been the most challenging times I’ve ever gone through in my entire life. It has been mentally, physically, and financially draining. There’s been good news, bad news, and everything in between. I’ve had multiple procedures, been on taking expensive hormone medications, and even had surgery this past May to unblock one of my fallopian tubes. I was put on a government fund program wait list two years ago, and my time to be funded is here. The procedure/surgery itself is covered, however, my embryo storage, hormone medications, time missed from work, gas, and parking fees all add up very quickly. I never wanted to ask anyone for help during any of this, but times are tough, and the cost of everything is only getting higher even in healthcare. There are many tests and other things that are not covered by our health care, or my benefits. I don’t expect a free ride at all, but anything helps.

for reference, embryo storage is $1000 and drugs can be anywhere from $1500-$5000 a cycle depending on how well my body works with them. Even once I am pregnant I am on other medications to support my pregnancy which in the past has cost around $600 a month.
