Support Tom's Recovery from Heart Surgery
Donation protected
In the past three months, my dad, Tom, has been battling health problems.
In April, he was hospitalized for an irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, and fluid overload in his body. He was in and out of the hospital for the better part of a month after this. On May 19th, following Tom's most recent hospitalization, he suffered a cardiac arrest that resulted in him needing life-saving CPR. He was rushed to St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee and has been there since. Imaging reviewed that Tom has one totally blocked coronary artery and another one that was nearly totally blocked. St. Luke's cardiology team ultimately expressed that Tom needed a coronary bypass graft and mitral value replacement to prevent further complications and to give him a better quality of life.
As we know, bills don't stop. For the past three weeks, my mom has barely left my dad's side while he has been in the hospital and she has missed a lot of work as a result and my dad has not been working since his health issues have flared over the last three months. So, I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my parents to ask for any help financially for their bills as my dad comes home and recovers from his bypass surgery. My mom will be taking care of him as he recovers and as a result, she will have limited working hours.
If you've ever laughed at a dumb joke my dad has said, or had him fix you a plate or your car or do a random handy man job, or had him give you a ride anywhere, please consider donating so that he can keep doing that.
