As you all know I took up running almost a year and a half ago. More so in the last few months. My New Year's resolution was to run a half marathon sometime in 2015. Well, that time is now! My friend Kiki convinced me to finally do it, so I will be running in the DC Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon on March 14.
As many of you know, last October the Love of my Life took his own, and turned my world upside down. I've been running a lot since that time. It allows me to clear my head, and I also feel connected to him when I run. Since it is my first half marathon, I wanted to find a way to honor Jason by doing it. Kiki and I will be raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This foundation funds research, provides educational programs, helps survivors (people like me), and much more. Help is out there for people who want it. Please visit

for more information.
Our goal is $1,000 to be donated to the Foundation in Jason's name. To make it even more fun, we've got some donating incentives for you. If we hit $100 worth of donations, Kiki and I will wear green tutu's while we run (for St. Patrick's Day). If we hit $250, Kiki and I will wear ridiculous socks in bright colors and goofy patterns. If we raise $500, we will both don mustache tattoos to run in the race. And for the top 2 individuals who donate the most money, we will let you pick whatever phrase, saying, or picture you want us to put on a shirt and wear it to run. Thanks for your help!
