Help Pam Beat Breast Cancer

Hi all! My name is Emily and I am creating this gofundme for my mom, Pamela Arbanas. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) in April of 2023. This occurred right after our home was damaged by the Santa Cruz County January and March floods. Initially, we were told the treatment plan was just surgery and radiation. However, after surgery, it was determined that the TNBC diagnosis was an aggressive grade that needs to be treated with chemotherapy and radiation. This is resulting in an 8 month leave of absence from her job and as a single parent, this will make paying basic living expenses very difficult.

A little about my mom: She is an elementary school librarian and goes by Ms. Pam. She loves to read and has an incredible passion for giving back to the students at her school. When we found out my mom wouldn’t be able to return to work, her first worry was, “What about the kids?” She has an incredibly big heart and anyone that knows her, knows how incredibly kind she is. She has a very strong faith and enjoys praying the rosary everyday at 5pm. She also loves the outdoors, especially gardening. She has a lot of beautiful plants in our backyard that bring her a lot of joy. She enjoys spending time with our yellow lab, Daisy as well.
