My name is Andrea, I am 51 and in need of a kidney. My blood type is B+. 25 years ago I was told I had polycystic kidney disease ( PKD) This is a hereditary disease, however, nobody in my family has been diagnosed with it before me.

I am a single Mom of 3 daughters. 2 are still at home, ages 15 and 12. I also have a sister. She has stepped up in ways that I never expected. And I am grateful and blessed. They are my life. I try and be there for them as much as I can be.Lately that has been difficult. This is not easy for me to share this part of my life. I’m a “push through “ kinda girl. Well, you can’t push through kidney disease. You have to have support and help. And you have to share the journey. The past two months I have been in and out of the hospital a few times. I have had multiple surgeries. I never anticipated these emergencies and am struggling to meet those financial demands.
