Update!!!!

Hi @everyone we'd like to share an update with you about the work the volunteers have been doing for LOST AND FOUND PETS ABERDEEN/ABERDEENSHIRE, SCOTLAND.
Lets start with a heartwarming story! meet Daphne, one of the young colony cats, she was heavily pregnant and thankfully, connected with a regular local lady, assisting with feeding the colony cats. With all the charities full to bursting! and a real threat to Daphne and her unborn kittens this lovely lady offered her a emergency/temporary safe place. Daphne was relaxed and at ease in her care, the bonnie kittens came along and she is a fantastic mother.
Daphne is one of the lucky ones, she has a home through the TNR. She will join her sister Dora when she has weaned the kittens and her vet checks are done. The kittens will be transferred to Cats Protection for rehoming. ❤️
Colony cats Dora is loving her new home and is pampered. This is what she needed. Banjo sadly has respiratory and is being cared for by an experienced volunteer, he will be moved to his new home and introduced to a new farm with his siblings once he recovers.
The two girls out at another farm location are released and exploring. They have a great experienced human to care for them, they have warm shelter, food and lots of safe space to rebuild their lives.
The volunteers are scanning daily; we had a call to a young bully type dog found with no registered chip and it was taken to the local police station. They transferred him to Mrs Murrays Cat & Dog home. Then this week, a hyper kitten 'well know in its area' ran into a lovely couples home. After some FB searching by the kind couple and a scan from one of the volunteers, the wee tinker returned home full of beans and no worse for his adventure!
We do have a few cats that we have confirmed as strayed and not chipped. Sadly due to lack of neutering two are young and pregnant. They have been monitored for some time and all lost pet protocol followed. The charities currently have no space and we stay in contact with them regularly for updates. The most we can do is provide shelter and food stations. Then have local neighbours at these locations to maintain visual on the cats. It is hard to know legally we cant take them in.
Here are photos of Daphne and her kittens.....
We do need Kitten Food - wet and dry! An AMAZON WISH LIST will be shared. You can also leave donations at Pets&Care or contact admin by leaving a message x
Thank you for your continued support

Lost & Found Pets Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire Needs Your Help

We know that people in Aberdeen have big hearts and we are asking for your help.

Many rescues are full, and unable to take mama cats and their kittens. This means that feral colonies are on the rise in Grampian. As winter approaches it's becoming more important that we are able to feed them. We also need to trap, neuter and release (TNR) to stop colony numbers increasing as much as possible. We are currently feeding a large colony of cats and kittens in a very high risk area in Aberdeen City who we desperately need to neuter to stop their numbers growing. No-one wants to see these families producing even more kittens who are at risk beside busy roads and traffic.

In a perfect world, no animal should need to be rescued however the reality is that there are those that need help. We are asking for donations that will go towards buying cat food, building shelters and neutering. Any amount, no matter how small, will help and we are incredibly grateful for anything you can give.

Alternatively, if you can supply cat food or you have someone handy in the home who would be able to help making things such as cat shelters, we can supply you with a preferred design. If you can donate wood for these, we are also happy to accept any that is in good condition and can be re-used. Please get in touch with the Facebook page - Lost & Found Pets Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire to let us know.

Thank you for reading and please spread the word. At the moment there are numerous cat families out there with very young kittens, living outside in the rain and the snow. With your help, we can do some really good work in our local area to help the helpless.
