Our little Ollie is 6 weeks old and after only 1 week of welcoming him into our home we’ve found out that he has round worms and parvovirus. He was originally diagnosed with round worms after his first vet check, but after his medications were not helping and he seemed to only be doing worse, not eating or drinking and experiencing severe lethargy the vets recommended getting him tested for Parvovirus. Last night we took him to the ER where he was diagnosed with parvovirus, which can be extremely fatal in puppies and there’s no treatment. They can only give supportive care which includes IV fluids, IV antibiotics, anti nausea medications to increase appetite and hospitalization to give him the best chance to be in good health and fight the virus on his own.
