Medical expenses and lost wages
Donation protected
Brett Meyers has recently been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer known as Burkitt Lymphoma. It has invaded both his bone marrow and his stomach, and has resulted in an inability to produce platelets and red blood cells on his own. He has received several transfusions over the past week and his doctors anticipate more will be needed before he can begin a treatment protocol and start his fight against the cancer.
Brett's mom, Jeni, is known and loved by many as a wonderful mom, a treasured friend, a fantastic grandmother to Oz, and a dedicated paraprofessional at Corunna Schools. She has been by Brett's side the past two weeks as his symptoms developed and grew, and she has no plans of leaving.
Brett is a 2014 graduate of Corunna, and has recently started a new career path as a welder following his graduation from Western Welding Academy last year. He is a devoted and loving son, a loyal brother, a great friend, and an incredible uncle to his nephew Oz.
When my husband was on hospice, fighting bone cancer, and struggling to find comfort, Brett bought a recliner, brought it to our house and assembled it. This is the type of friend Brett is. The world is a better place with him in it.
We are asking for any amount possible as a donation to help Brett and his family through the financial burden of lost wages and time spent in the hospital.
We are fighting for you and with you, Brett! We've got this!
