Remembering Samantha

Hi there!

I am Samantha’s cousin Rebecca and this is Samantha’s story:

Samantha Samuels was born on the 10th of March 2008 and tragically passed away on the 1st of March 2022, nine days out from her 14th Birthday.

Samantha was the daughter to Shane and Angela and the middle sister to Tara and Shanell.

Our family were devastated to hear Samantha had suffered from a deadly bacterial infection which caused catastrophic brain damage. With tremendous help and support from all the doctors and nurses at the Royal Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, unfortunately there was nothing more they could do for our girl, Sam.

Samantha was a quiet, yet bubbly young lady, who loved spending quality time with her family and friends. She loved making numerous TikTok videos and taking selfies on Snapchat but mostly loved her membership to the South Sydney Rabbitohs. She attended every home game, without fail, cheering on her beloved Bunnies - win, lose or draw. ❤️
