Jodi was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon and rectal cancer in June of 2023. She has been receiving different types of chemotherapy since August 18, 2023. Some critical treatments were not available as her insurance would not cover it. She has had numerous CT and PET scans and Biopsies. Cancer is also in her liver and she has endured multiple liver ablations, even after going through Radiation Therapy.
Unfortunately, March, 2025, CT scans showed there is disease progression involving the lymph nodes, liver, pancreas, spleen, peritoneal carcinomatosis. There were multiple bilateral new pulmonary nodules noted, which have also since shown blood clots in her lungs.
Because of the many Chemotherapy treatments and the disease progression, Jodi has extreme fatigue, nauseousness, and gastrointestinal issues. She has had to have numerous potassium, magnesium and red blood cell transfusions because of the effects of all the Chemotherapy she has received.
Jodi worked her manufacturing job for a very long time while receiving treatments. Eventually, she had to be convinced by her doctors to take medical leave. Her strong work ethic was a big part of her reluctance to leave, but the reduced income weighed heavy on her mind. She did try to go back to work, but with sometimes three appointments a week, and the disease progression, it has become evident that this was no longer possible. Jodi continues to have multiple bills and goes through a lot of gas money for appointments. Her medical expenses and prescriptions continue to increase.
Jodi has never had much, but would never complain. If you know her, you know she has the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. She has always stayed positive about her health prognosis for herself and her son. Any assistance you can provide for Jodi would be greatly appreciated.
