Summer Abroad in Madrid, Spain
Donation protected
Hello All!!
As some of you may already know, I have recently been accepted into the 2015 summer abroad program in Madrid, Spain. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to travel abroad and fortunate enough to be able to study the arts in one of the most beautiful cities this world has ever seen.
My program is called "Spanish Art History: from Al-Andalus to Picasso". This course will explore history of Spanish art through the study of some of the most profound works and artists, from the the Middle Ages to present- day works. Some of my trips will include the following destinations: the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, Sorolla, Reina Sofía Museums, Caixa Forum Foundation, a two-day trip to the Arab Spain (Andalusia) and one-day trip to Toledo. As you can see, the city will become my classroom and I will be fully immersed in the Spanish culture. Along with learning about the history of Spanish art, I hope that this trip will allow me reach fluency in the Spanish language and fully understand it's culture. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience for me to study in a foreign land and I am certain it will give me some of the personal skills I'll benefit highly from in my life.
In order for me to go on this trip, I would need to collect $6,000 before the deadline date of May 23rd, 2015. I am currently applying to as many scholarships as possible but I'm not positive they will cover the whole $6,000. I'm need your help to get me to my goal. However much money you are willing to donate will be greatly appreciated and I'll make sure to keep you all updated on my progress to receiving the required amount.
If you want to learn more information on my program, please go to https://bc-oip.terradotta.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram&Program_ID=10091
If you want to ask me any questions about the trip, please feel free to contact me through email or on my Facebook.
Thank you and God Bless!!
