Donate to Chemung County Library!

Eric James Lindsay passed away on Sunday, February 22 at the ripe age of 90. During his past 29 years in the Chemung County area, the Steele Memorial Library became an incredibly important place for our father, husband, cousin, brother, and friend. He spent many days in the library, hunting through the stacks, bringing his daughter, Karianna, to read-aloud meet ups, and having incredible conversations with the people who make Elmira so special. In commemoration of his death, his family is requesting that donations be made to Friends of the Chemung County Library District through this GoFundMe account in lieu of flowers or gifts. No amount is too big or too small. After we close the fundraiser, we will donate every last penny in one lump sum on Eric's behalf.

We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of support, love, and light during this time.
