Please help our "We the People..." team compete at Nationals in Washington D.C. in April! We need the financial support from people like you that understand the great value of civic education. I want my students to be able to get back to studying as quickly as possible so I am raising money for their trip to Washington D.C. Our goal is to raise $23,000 in the next four weeks so that the students can direct their focus on preparing to represent the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
THE COACH'S STORY
More than 16 years ago I had the privilege of participating in a Harvard teacher institute to learn the We the People program. Since that experience, I have shared the spirit of the constitution with hundreds of students and teachers. Elizabethtown Area High School has been the state champion five years in a row and won six championships in seven years. Our program has continued to grow and become more successful each year due to the support of great people that believe in civic education.
The "We the People..." program has been around since 1987 and focuses on teaching students about the constitutional principles this great country was founded on in the hopes of creating a more educated citizenry. Through your generous sponsorship, the experience to compete in the National finals will be a lifetime memory for these seniors. Your financial assistance will provide for a five day/four night stay in a hotel in the D.C. area, round-trip travel and all meals.
