Face Shields for the frontline N.I

Hi all,
As you may be aware, there is a huge shortage of Personal Protection Equipment (or PPE as its also being referred to) for those working in hospitals, care homes and hospices around the country. Everyday those on the front line go to work without the necessary protection leaving them vulnerable to contracting COVID-19.
To help with this crisis I have joined forces with the 3D printing community to create face shields for healthcare workers who are at risk. These shields are made using the approved ‘3DVerkstan' design and created following strict health and safety guidelines in a contained environment. I am a locally N.I based Artist / Prop Maker and have a self contained studio space set up with the machinery required to produce these shields.
I have reached out to several NI care homes, pharmacies and GP practices and received a very positive response toward this effort. The staff I have spoken to are in need of these face shields in their work.
This is why I am asking for your support in purchasing the necessary materials. Currently I am making 20 shields per day and can deliver these safely to those in need. With your help I want to increase that number.
Donations will go towards:
-Materials to manufacture the shield (PETG 0.5mm plastic).
-Materials to manufacture the Visor (PETG/ PLA Filament).
-Sterile bags for transportation.
-Machinery maintenance/ purchase.
At this strange and scary time we are called to ‘Protect the NHS’, but more than that let's give our healthcare professionals a fighting chance to care for themselves and others.
