Please help with Emergency Surgery Bill for Frankie!

My niece recently adopted a sweet homeless kitty named Frankie who's only 11 weeks old. Frankie is her Emotional Support Animal while her husband is deployed overseas with the National Guard for a year. At her first vet appointment, Frankie was found to have a fractured jaw that was infected. They tried antibiotics, but the infection didn't completely clear, so she had to have emergent surgery last week for which vet bills have already totaled over $1000.

Unfortunately, that surgery didn't completely correct the problem either, and she must have another surgery next week that is estimated to cost $2700. With the recent government furlough, pay was also delayed, which hasn't helped their financial situation at all.
